For this Test Bench, MECHAID contacted Ranger Equipment Limited who are the UK dealers for a German company, Teupen, who have just launched their very latest innovation, the Leo 13GT access platform. With a stated working height capacity of 12.80 metres and described by the company as “simple, logical and user friendly,” the very first Leo 13GT to land in the UK was delivered to Ranger Equipment and then straight into the seasoned hands of the Mechaid Testbench team.
Testbench sought out the expertise of Duncan Manderson, the managing director of the Oakham based independent company Abacus Hire Centre, to cast a critical eye over the proceedings. Abacus already has two Teupen machines in their fleet working alongside similar machines from another manufacturer. The workout was scheduled on a suburban housing estate on the outskirts of Oakham and Ranger’s product demonstrator, Brian Penny, duly arrived driving a small flat bed truck carrying a brand new Leo 13GT
