New STIHL TS 410 Cut-off saw
The TS 400 has a new successor – the STIHL TS 410 – a new high performance model, available now at STIHL specialist dealers nationwide. Already receiving excellent reviews, the new STIHL TS 410 cut-off saw is a compact, powerful and tough performer. Operating benefits – like minimised maintenance and reduced fuel consumption, ensure it is cost and time-efficient in use and the new model has superb handling and standard-setting low vibration levels.
Designed for the user and for the task, the new STIHL TS 410 not only looks good, it feels good too. The compact new design and excellent balance promote easy handling in any cutting position, and the new anti-vibration system sets new standards in its class. At just 3.9 m/s2 (ahv eq) the vibration level almost triples the time* a user can operate the saw before any action is required under the recent EU Directive on hand-arm vibration, and that means they can operate the saw throughout the course of a normal working day. Critically, the anti-vibration system delivers this effective protection for the user without compromising the machine’s handling. The cut-off saw retains a smooth ‘first cut’ when accuracy is required and performance is characterised by excellent cutting behaviour and ease of control.
In the tough working environment of a cut-off saw, an effective air filter system is crucial to ensuring an engine’s performance and long service life. The new STIHL TS 410 features a new air filter system that is highly efficient and needs minimal maintenance. The three-stage system incorporates cyclone pre-filtration whereby centrifugal forces channel intake air dust particles away from the main paper filter - effectively removing 80 percent of dust at this very first stage. As a result, filter life is extended to around one year in normal building site use, and no interim cleaning is required. That makes this machine both cost-effective and time efficient in use and that means good news for the operator.
The new STIHL TS 410 is kind on the pocket in another way too – its new high performance engine reducing fuel consumption by an impressive 20% compared to its predecessor. For user and their environment, the engine’s innovative stratified charge technology delivers the proven power to get the job done and sets standards in terms of emissions, with levels that fall well within the EU (Stage III) Exhaust Emissions Directive due to come into force in 2012. The engine starts reliably and easily thanks to features like the manual fuel pump primer and decompression valve; and then
drives effective power with impressive torque to the high speed cutting wheel.
In dealerships now, the new STIHL cut-off saw is available with both 300mm (TS 410) and 350mm (TS 420) cutting wheels. Compact and light in weight, the saw is ideal for handheld cutting and is fitted as standard with a neat new integrated water attachment kit for effective dust suppression. It can also be used on the handy new STIHL cart : simply clamp it on when long stretches need cutting, and use the handlebar control to set cutting depth with millimetre accuracy.
